DomuS3D®: this month's project

Are you running DomuS3D® Venus or later? Download this project (bathtub and shower set), ready to render with V-Ray

Our projects for your business

In this issue you will find a photo-set where you can emphasize a bathtub.
Project is available for download in Venus version or later, and can be rendered with V-Ray (link for download is bottom of page).

As usual, project has been optimized (architecture, tiles, material and - primarily - lights and illumination) in order to get the best results possible while in the render process.

Room has the following shape:

Most important features of this project are:

  1. Materials and lights have been setup in order to render the scene with V-Ray
  2. There are large openings (holes) at the back of the observer, in order to give more light to the scene
  3. In order to create an empty space over the tub, we've hidden the ceiling, and created an object (smaller than the ceiling) in order to simulate a smaller ceiling; a second glass object has been created i order to filter sun light
  4. In the same way we've created an object for floor, so that floor is smaller than the room (and higher) so that the shower area is at a different level
  5. We've used Photo 2D (billboards) objects, such as the bathrobe
  6. Some objects have been downloaded from the free 3D warehouse gallery
  7. Shower wall has been split in 3 sections in order to tile the central part with natural stone
  8. Project has been rendered in 2 different colour mappings. The one you can download is the linear one. Such parameter is in section: Rendering >> parameters >> color mapping
  9. We've used random dynamic pattern  both on floor and walls
  10. Room area is 27,9 MQ
  11. Project contains 5628 Polygon-Mesh, 605.117 3DFaces
  12. Scene has been rendered with 2136 x 1199 pixel. Rendering time: 20 min 27 sec with V-Ray (on a DELL Precision 5810 powered with proc. Intel XEON CPU E5-1650 @ 3.5 GHz - 32GB RAM, Windows 64 bit)
  13. Project is available for DomuS3D® Venus version and later

Rendering image you will obtain is as the following one:
